Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana will miss Wednesday night's FA Cup quarter-final replay against Blackburn Rovers.

Lallana suffered a groin injury during Liverpool's clash against Manchester United at the end of last month which forced him out of the 4-1 loss to Arsenal on Saturday.

Manager Brendan Rodgers had been hopeful that Lallana would be able to recover in time for the all-important FA Cup clash with Rovers at Ewood Park but it has now been revealed that the former Southampton star will not feature after failing to regain full fitness.
