Liverpool accept they've missed out on Exeter City whizkid Ethan Ampadu.
The Liverpool Echo says the Reds are admirers of the 16-year-old, who plays for League Two side Exeter City and is a teammate of Ben Woodburn at international level.
Ampadu came to Anfield on trial as a 14-year-old and Liverpool were keen to sign him, but the youngster opted to stay at Exeter.
And while Liverpool have continued to monitor his progress, they are now resigned to missing out on the classy teenager.
The race for the teen now appears a straight shootout between Arsenal and Chelsea.
