Manchester United teammates Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane put country rivalries to one side at the World Cup final.

Despite being on opposing ends of the field during the contest, Martinez and Varane showed their solidarity post-game.

An intense World Cup final, of which Varane played nearly the entire contest, Argentina prevailed on penalties after a 3-3 draw.

The Argentina players were understandably ecstatic at the final whistle.

However, Martinez cut his celebrations short to comfort Varane on the field as well.

The United and France defender had to go off very late in the game due to a suspected injury.
