Rangers owner Craig Whyte says that liquidation for the Glasgow club is certainly not necessary.
The Ibrox club fell into administration in February but there are a number of potential bidders interested in a takeover, indicating to Whyte that the club will remain as it has for the past 140 years.
Administrators Duff & Phelps have set a 4th of April (tomorrow) deadline for final offers to complete the take over at Rangers with former director Paul Murray's Blue Knights, US group Club 9 Sports and a consortium from Asia at the forefront which leads Whyte to believe that the club will pull themselves out of their current situation.
"I want to exit administration with a CVA (company voluntary arrangement). There is no reason whatsoever that that can't happen.
"Liquidation is no good for Rangers. It will end 140 years of history.
"I can understand why some people might think it is a good idea but we have to keep Rangers alive.""I do not favour liquidation at all, it is not necessary," Whyte said.
