Italian coach Marcello Lippi has won on debut in charge of Guangzhou Evergrande.

The 2006 World Cup winning Italy Coach signed for the club on Thursday and quickly made his debut on Sunday.

It was a 1-0 victory over Qingdao Jonoon, who are currently propping up the table, decided by Gao Lin's 68th minute goal.

Guangzhou Evergrande were already top of the table before Lippi took over.
