Former Manchester United star Jesse Lingard may be offered a return to the Premier League.

The attacking midfielder has been a free agent over the past six months, after failing to impress at Nottingham Forest last term.

Lingard, who did train with West Ham and Al-Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia, did not sign with any team in the summer.

Lingard is said to have been training hard over the past few months to keep himself in shape.

Whether Lingard can make any impact for the Toffees, considering he managed two goals and two assists in 20 games for Forest, is unclear.
