Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard says he is the club's best shot-stopper.
David De Gea is likely to lose his place at the start of the season as he is due to turn out for Spain at the London Olympics.
But Lindegaard, who is currently on United duty in South Africa, insists he would have dumped De Gea back to the bench anyway.
He told The Sun: "I want the No1 spot because I am the best.
"I don't want it because he is injured or he is not there."
