Aalesunds goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard is locked in talks with Manchester United. The Daily Mail says Lindegaard is on the verge of clinching a £3.5million move to Manchester United.
Sir Alex Ferguson wants two new keepers and has also been tipped to sign Atletico Madrid's highly rated 20-year-old No 1 David de Gea.
But the arrival of Lindegaard, 26, from Norwegian club Aalesunds is expected to be the first deal confirmed - perhaps before the weekend.
Jim Solbakken, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's agent, has been helping to negotiate the deal, which will go through in January.
United have scouted Lindegaard several times, with goalkeeper coach Eric Steele making personal checks on the man who has replaced Stoke's Thomas Sorensen as Denmark's No 1.
With Old Trafford star Edwin van der Sar approaching retirement and doubts over No 2 Tomasz Kuszczak, United are also tracking Rangers' Allan McGregor, Bayer Leverkusen's Rene Adler and Manuel Neuer of Schalke.
