Lille striker Loic Remy has defended Jose Mourinho - despite his recent struggles at Manchester United.
Mourinho was sacked by the Red Devils in December 2018.
Remy, who will play for Lille against his former club in the Champions League on Wednesday night, reflected on his time under Mourinho at Chelsea with the Independent: "He trusted me.
"I remember one time before a big match, it was Manchester City at home, and Diego Costa was injured and he grabbed me and said 'I know your quality. I know you can play these type of games, so just go and don't think too much'.
"For me, honestly, I always remember when I was there, tactically he was very good. He knows football.
"People know Mourinho is a good manager, even if he had trouble in some clubs."
