Newcastle United's Yoan Gouffran could be on the move to France after Lille manager Frederic Antonetti revealed he is interested in the Magpies winger.

Gouffran has made just five appearances for Steve McClaren's side this season and is understood to be seeking a move during the January transfer window in order to secure regular first team football.

Antonetti told French publication L'Equipe he is monitoring the 29-year-old's situation at St James' Park.

"Though he no longer plays as a forward, he is one of the players that may interest us [this month]," Antonetti said.
