Lille coach Rudi Garcia was delighted with Joe Cole's strike in their 1-1 draw with Lorient.
The on-loan Liverpool midfielder hit a sweet 25-yarder into the top corner in the 1-1 draw with Lorient and left the field to a standing ovation.
The result leaves Lille sixth in the league, four points behind leaders Lyon.
Garcia said: "The goal by Joe Cole was international class."
