Lille manager Rudi Garcia was pleased with the 1-0 home win over Liverpool in the Europa League on Thursday night.
Eden Hazard's 85th minute free-kick separated the sides and Garcia was adamant that his team deserved the win over the pre-tournament favourites.
"In European competitions winning 1-0 is always a good result," he said.
"But Liverpool still managed to create some opportunities and we had a goalkeeper who made two or three really great saves.
"I think we deserved to win tonight. I am satisfied with what we showed and we will do everything we can to qualify.
"To beat Liverpool, who were the favourites when the draw was made, is good.
"But we will need to score in the second leg, we can't go there and play for a 0-0."
