Lifted transfer ban allows Leeds Utd to pursue Stoke midfielder Adam, QPR winger Phillips

Leeds United have now been given the go-ahead to make signings after having their transfer embargo lifted.

The Championship club were unable to sign any players in January but are now free to pursue whoever they like as they prepare for a busy summer.

Reports suggest that Neil Redfearn has written up an ambitious list of targets for the next window as the West Yorkshire outfit dream of a return to the Premier League.

Stoke City midfielder Charlie Adam has been mentioned as a possible Elland Road target while QPR winger Matt Phillips is also on the radar of the Whites.

Also in the reckoning is Burnley defender Jason Shackell but with two of that threesome already being condemned to the second tier via relegation, it may be difficult for Leeds to lure them if Premier League clubs come calling.
