Bournemouth must go higher to land Levante midfielder Jefferson Lerma.

AS says an offer of €25m from the Cherries has been rejected by Levante this week.

Levante are willing to do business over Lerma, but have warned Bournemouth they must improve their offer for him to leave.

Lerma is due back at Levante on Friday after his break following Colombia's World Cup campaign.

The midfielder's contract carries a €60m buyout clause.
