Levante refuse to give up on signing Everton striker Arouna Kone.
The Mirror says the Spanish side want to take the Ivory Coast star in January, if he can prove his fitness.
Kone, who turns 31 tomorrow, suffered a serious knee ligament injury just over a year ago. He is desperate to get playing again, and Levante hope they may be able to offer him some games. The speedy attacker made his name in Holland with Roda and PSV.
Roberto Martinez signed him for Wigan in 2012, and in his only season there Kone lifted the FA Cup, but the team was relegated despite his 11 Premier League goals.
