Levante are counting on Manchester City striker Felipe Caicedo to help lighten their debts.
The Spanish Liga outfit plan to buy Caicedo outright before selling him on.
"With regard to what we will do with him if we sign him, we're not sure yet," a club spokesman told Superdeporte.
"If a big-money offer comes in, Levante will sell and thank the player for helping to reduce our debt."
