Joleon Lescott is willing to write-off a massive pay-off to leave Manchester City in the summer.
The Daily Star Sunday says Lescott is set to leave City in the summer, when he will have one year remaining on his contract - worth almost £5million.
But the central defender will accept less than that as a settlement if City reduce their £5m asking price.
A reduced fee will make the centre-back a more attractive proposition for clubs such as Everton - who City bought him off for £22m - Stoke, Newcastle United and Sunderland.
