Joleon Lescott has urged Manchester City fans to get behind striker Carlos Tevez.

Lescott urged fans to remember what Tevez, 28, has achieved at City - rather than the trouble he has caused.

Lescott said: "You need to appreciate what he has done for the club over the last two years - just take on board what he has done.

"We don't need any disruptions and no one here sees Carlos as that.

"If we can all get together and push in the same direction, I'm sure it's a positive for the club.

"It's a massive boost if Carlos can come back and hit the kind of form he showed in the last couple of years."
