Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott is unhappy with his treatment by manager Manuel Pellegrini.
The England defender seems certain to deputise for the injured Matija Nastasic against Swansea tomorrow but conceded he may have to leave in the January window.
"When you train all week then don't play, it is disheartening," he said. "I want to stay, but the club haven't approached me. If I'm playing for a future here, great. If I'm playing for one elsewhere, so be it. I need to be given a fair opportunity.
"I'd like to think that if I'm playing well - and the team are - I could stay in. If there are approaches from other clubs in January, I will have to look at it.
"It doesn't look like I'll be going to the World Cup. It will be hard, but if I am playing for City, and we are doing well, there might be a place. I haven't given up."
