Leonardo Spinazzola was back to his best for AS Roma last night.

The wing-back was outstanding for their Europa League playoff win against RB Salzburg.

Spinazzola said: "I gave myself a good jolt after Verona, for self-esteem and awareness.

"This victory can mean that we will think of Cremonese and Juventus, we work every day and continue like this and row all together."

Roma coach Jose Mourinho also said: “Spinazzola was fantastic tonight, but it is easier for a player to do well when the team is working like that. My only concern today was the result, as it was 2-0 and we could've scored more. We ran zero risks at the back, we were in complete control, the fans understood the dynamics of the game. Gini Wijnaldum came on and is starting to show the difference his quality makes."
