Leonardo axe won't stop AC Milan signing Brazil best

AC Milan's sacking of Leonardo hasn't ended their relationship with Brazilian football. Tuttosport says Milan have made contact with Juventus about the availability of Felipe Melo.

Rossoneri vice-president Adriano Galliani has discussed a swap with new Juve GM Beppe Marotta involving striker Marco Borriello. Galliani is so serious about signing Melo, he is also willing to table a straight cash bid.

Meanwhile, Sevilla's star striker Luis Fabiano has made a 'come and get me' plea to Milan.

"I want to play with Ronaldinho," said the Brazil international striker.

"He and Pato are two teammates and two friends. And I could change teams after the World Cup. In Spain they have written many nasty things about me. I still have a year on my contract, but I will speak with the president (Jose Maria del Nido) about my situation."
