Tottenham wide man Aaron Lennon believes the recent signings at White Hart Lane point to a bright future for the North London club.

Lennon has been hugely impressed with Spurs' new foreign contingent, with Luka Modric, Geovani dos Santos and Heurelho Gomes earning special praise from their new team-mate.

"They are quality players and everyone knows it," Lennon told Tottenham's Hotspur magazine.

"Gio has come from Barcelona and you don't play for them unless you are exceptional. He looks a great player.

"Everyone saw what Luka Modric did at the European Championships and we're all looking forward to working with him, and Gomes looks good as well.

"We played against PSV in the UEFA Cup last season, of course, and he's clearly a top-quality goalkeeper.

"Together with David Bentley they are all great signings."
