Speedy Tottenham wingers Aaron Lennon and Gareth Bale have received praise from Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew.
The pair did the damage by scoring the goals for Spurs in their 2-0 win at White Hart Lane and the match-winning performances were not lost on the Magpies boss.
"Their pace down the flanks was probably the difference between the two sides," said Pardew.
"The pace they have can undo you and your discipline as a back four and you want that in your team, you want that directness."
And Pardew reiterated that promising striker Andy Carroll would definitely not be sold in January.
"I have spoken to Mike (Ashley) and made it very clear to him that Carroll has to stay and he has said that he is not for sale," he added.
