Lennon admits to watching Huddersfield's Rhodes but coy on Celtic transfer plans

Huddersfield Town striker Jordan Rhodes has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Celtic but manager Neil Lennon is keeping his cards close to his chest.

The Hoops boss watched the 21-year old Scotland international when the Terriers' 43-game unbeaten run in the Football League came to an end at Charlton Athletic on Monday but he insists that he is not really focused on potential transfers for the winter market ahead of tonight's Europa League meeting with Atletico Madrid.

"I was down watching the game," said Lennon. "I'm not here to talk about any players, particularly players who are under contract with another club.

"We are not even in December yet and I'm being asked questions about players coming in or going out.

"I'm preparing a team for a big European game and I'm not prepared to talk about much else really.

"We have our eye on a couple of targets but there are no guarantees of getting deals done.

"We have come through a bit of a rough period in the season and we are on a good run now.

"Confidence is high in the squad and there is a good feeling around the club again and we are looking forward to the upcoming games.

"When January comes we will deal with it behind closed doors as best we can."
