Leicester City are striving to come up with a plan that will see them offer new and improved contracts to five title-winning stars.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the futures of Riyad Mahrez, Kasper Schmeichel, Danny Simpson, Danny Drinkwater and Jeffrey Schlupp are still not sorted as the 2016/17 season approaches.
The quintet were all key members of Claudio Ranieri's Foxes squad which won the Premier League last term and the East Midlands are keen to reward them, while warding off potential suitors.
It is understood that director of football Jon Rudkin met with Leicester's Thai owners on Monday to try and sort new deals for all five, particularly star winger Mahrez, midfielder Drinkwater and goalkeeper Schmeichel.
