A 37-man shortlist for the African Player of the Year has been released by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
11 players currently with Premier League clubs are included on the list as Manchester City star Yaya Toure strives to win the prize for a fifth-straight year.
Joining the Ivory Coast midfielder in the running for the top individual prize is in-form Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez, Crystal Palace ace Yannick Bolasie, Southampton's Sadio Mane and Swansea City signing Andre Ayew.
The remaining six players, who are playing their trade in England, consist of Chelsea's Bournemouth loanee Christian Atsu, injured Cherries winger Max Gradel, Aston Villa forward Rudy Gestede, Stoke City striker Mame Biram Diouf, Norwich City loanee Dieumerci Mbokani and Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama.
Chelsea's Mohamed Salah, who is currently on loan at AS Roma, is also included.
The main threats to Toure and co. appear to be Bayern Munich defender Mehdi Benatia, Borussia Dortmund ace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Roma winger Gervinho.
