Leicester signing Coady offered advice to Everton

Everton have to focus on moving forward as a unit after last season's relegation fight, so says Conor Coady.

The Toffees narrowly avoided the drop while Coady was on loan from Wolves at Goodison Park.

The England defender has since signed for Leicester City as part of their new look back line.

"I loved my time there first and foremost, it's a fantastic club, a brilliant club filled with brilliant people. I loved every single moment of being there," Coady told Sky Sports about the Toffees.

"Listen, that last day was kind of relief more than anything and understanding that we hadn't been good enough through the season and we didn't want to be part of Everton Football Club, that giant of a football club, when it dropped out the Premier League and luckily, we [weren't].

"It's up to everybody there now to kick on and make sure Everton aren't in that position again because they shouldn't be, the club is huge, the supporters are outstanding and the way they get behind the team is fantastic.

"All I can say is I loved my time there, Everton decided against [the £4.5m deal] but I'm over the moon to be where I am now. When I got the interest from Leicester City, it was a massive, massive boost and something I wanted to take."
