Leicester City are set to bid again for Mainz striker Shinji Okazaki this summer.
The Foxes had a bid of €10 million for the Japan international turned down in January.
BILD says Leicester have now revived negotiations with Mainz for Okazaki and indicated they're willing to pay an improved €12 million for the striker.
Mainz are seeking €15 million for the striker, who is about to enter the final year of his current deal.
"There is no economic necessity to sell him, even though his contract expires in 2016. That's the difference with previous years," Mainz director Christian Heidel said.
