Leicester City have opened new contract talks with Esteban Cambiasso and Matthew Upson.
The Daily Star says the pair are out of contract in the summer and manager Nigel Pearson wants to ensure they remain at the King Power Stadium.
Only 12 months ago, Leicester's bid for promotion to the top flight was undermined by 10 players' futures being undecided.
And Pearson wants to ensure no repeat and wants legendary ex-Inter Milan midfielder Cambiasso, 34, and former England defender Upson, 35, to put pen to paper.
