Leicester midfielder Dennis Praet delighted with Belgium debut

Leicester City midfielder Dennis Praet was delighted to make his Belgium debut.

Making his fifth appearance but his first start for the Red Devils, Praet delivered a perfect cross to set up Michy Batshuayi for Belgium's first goal in their 2-0 win in Kazakhstan on Sunday.

“It's been a lot of years since we played on synthetic pitch, it was not easy, but it's football, we have to win on this kind of terrain," said Praet.

“I had a good match, like the whole team I think. I'm happy with my assist but even more with the three points. We have to continue like this to get the most points.

“My personal goal is to be at Euro 2020. I hope I have convinced the coach.

"We could have scored even more. All in all, it was still good. You have to take the playing time with both hands. It will not be easy to be in the selection for the European Championship."
