Leicester City are set to go after Mainz star Shinji Okazaki.

The Foxes were linked with the Japan international a few months back and now according to The Telegraph will make an £8million bid for his services in the summer transfer window.

It is believed that Leicester boss Nigel Pearson is determined to land the 29-year old striker in the next transfer window as he prepares for another season in the Premier League.

Former Stuttgart attacker Okazaki has scored 12 Bundesliga goals for Mainz who sit 12th on the German top flight with two fixtures remaining.
