Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has been named Denmark Player of the Year for 2019.

Schmeichel saw off competition from Tottenham ace Christian Eriksen to land the award.

The poll was conducted among members of the Danish Players Association.

It was the second time Schmeichel has won the award.

He also won the award in 2016 when he and Leicester became Premier League champions.
