Leicester City hero Esteban Cambiasso admits he grew up trying to avoid playing football!
Cambiasso, who scored in the rout of Manchester United on Sunday, says he enjoyed basketball more than football.
"I did not like football when I was a kid. I liked basketball. I thought that basketball was my life. I hid in the car outside the sports center of the football team because I did not want others to call me to play.
"My family kept telling me that they wanted me to continue with basketball. They did not like the atmosphere around football, they said that it was contaminated.
"I was a better basketball player than what I did in football.
"It is a sport I used as a base and allowed me to have a greater overview of my teammates around me. I use that even now when I play in midfield."
