Leicester goal meant so much to me - Stoke ace Bojan

Stoke City star Bojan Krkic has stated that he is very pleased with his strike against Leicester City.

Bojan made his first Premier League start of the season since his horrific knee injury in January during the 2-2 draw against Leicester City on Saturday and managed to mark the occasion with a well-taken goal in the 13th minute.

The Spaniard was most certainly very happy to open his account and felt emotional after scoring.

"You could see from the emotion that goal meant a lot," Bojan told the Stoke Sentinel. "I have worked so much and for me it's important to start with the team and to give something to try to win points. I was so happy. In general, I don't think the team played well in the second half and that's why we drew.

"Of course I would have preferred to have got the win than a goal, always, because we need the points. It was important for us to win, but it's just the beginning, it's a long season. Now it's important that we win at Fulham (in the Capital One Cup) and then next Saturday again at home to Bournemouth."
