Leicester City youngster Callum Elder has joined Macclesfield Town.

Mansfield have signed Elder on a month-long loan deal from Premier League side Leicester City.

The 19-year-old Australia youth international left-back has been a regular for City's development squad.

Stags boss Adam Murray said the signing was "a massive coup".

Murray added: "I've watched Callum and Leicester have got one of the strongest sides around the Midlands and he is known as possibly the best left-back at Under-21 level in the region."
