Leicester City came back to haunt former manager Martin O'Neill as they bundled Aston Villa out of the Carling Cup tonight at Villa Park.
Matty Fryatt's goal gave Championship side Leicester a shock victory.
A much-changed Villa side were poor early on with only Shaun Maloney threatening, while Iain Hume went close with a near-post header for the Foxes.
Fryatt broke the deadlock with 14 minutes left, running through the Villa defence and firing past Stuart Taylor.
Villa at last came to life when Patrik Berger, Ashley Young and Luke Moore came on but Leicester held on to win.
