Brendan Rodgers has told Timothy Castagne he must prove himself in training if he wants to play for Leicester.
The Belgian international has been replaced in the starting line-up by Luke Thomas in the last two fixtures against Manchester United and Brighton.
When asked why Castagne had been dropped, Rodgers told the Leicester Mercury: "We played Luke Thomas on the left for balance.
"And obviously JJ went over onto the right side."
Pressed on how Castagne gets back into the side, Rodgers replied: "By training well."
