Leicester boss Rodgers happy with Praet debut

Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers was pleased with Dennis Praet after his first game in the Premier League.

The summer signing who arrived from Sampdoria came on for the last 17 minutes against Chelsea in a 1-1 draw away from home.

The attacking midfielder did not help his side win the clash, but he did have some impressive moments.

"He's a very good player, an international, and he fits the profile of how we play," said Rodgers to reporters.

"First and foremost he wants to work hard, he's technically very good and he's got a good view of the game. I thought he came into the game and made some good interceptions.

"The idea to bring him was to bring that extra bit of technical quality into the team to see if we could get the winning goal.

"It was a tough place to come in with the speed of the game but I thought he coped well."
