Leicester City are closing on a deal for Wigan Athletic midfielder Shaun Maloney.

Sky Sports says Leicester have agreed a fee with Wigan for Scotland forward Maloney.

Wigan are said to have accepted an offer of between £750k-£1million for the 31-year-old but it is believed the deal has not been signed yet.

Maloney has plenty of Premier League experience, having joined the Latics from Celtic in 2011 and has also won 37 caps for his country.
