Leeds, Fulham scouts check on Aberdeen prospect Lewis Pirie

Leeds United are watching Scottish prospect Lewis Pirie.

The Daily Record says Leeds had scouts posted to check on Aberdeen youngster Pirie in a Scotland U-16s international fixture against Denmark.

Pirie scored and was involved in the build-up for the penalty awarded to Jack Fletcher - son of former Manchester United midfielder Darren - in the Scots' 4-2 loss to the Danes.

Seen as one of the most talented players coming through the Aberdeen ranks, Pirie is one of many that, in recent seasons, have broken through the ranks alongside the likes of Liverpool star Calvin Ramsay, who was sold for £4.2m.

Leeds were not the only team that were scouting the youngster however, with fellow Premier League side Fulham also in attendance amongst others.
