Leeds chief Orta pushing to close Man Utd deal for James

Leeds United chief Victor Orta is seeking to close a permanent deal for Manchester United winger Daniel James.

Marcelo Bielsa's side have consistently been linked with a move for James ever since a deal fell apart two-and-a-half years ago.

James was infamously in the building at Elland Road on deadline day in January 2019 before Leeds and Swansea failed to reach an agreement as the window closed.

Six months later and Manchester United swooped in to sign the highly-rated Wales international.

Now Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano is reporting talks are now 'advanced'.

It is claimed that Leeds want to sign the rapid winger on a permanent deal as opposed to bringing him on loan.
