Leeds captain Ayling: Hard to take Man Utd defeat

Leeds United captain Luke Ayling is adamant there's positives to draw from defeat to Manchester United.

Ayling, who put in a determined performance at the back, believes that the Whites should take plenty of positives despite falling to defeat on home soil.

He told LUTV: "It's really hard to take as we fought hard to bring it back to 2-2. We have a massive chance to take the lead to make it 3-2 and then they break away 90 seconds after that big chance and score.

"These moments in games aren't going our way at the minute. They're a good team and they break away and take their big moments.

"But the crowd today really got behind us second-half and it was a really good atmosphere to play in. We dragged ourselves back to 2-2 and to get beat 4-2 is really disappointing."

On the injury situation, Ayling said: "It's been tricky for most of the season, we've had a lot of injuries. We've got players coming back hopefully soon and that would fill some spaces and we've got to stick together.

"We know where we are in the league and we have to stay positive. We can't look for excuses, we can't start blaming things and we've got to stay positive.

"We have a big, hard week coming up and we need to stay positive and get some results."
