Neil Warnock hopes to bolster his ChampionshipLeeds United squad with a new signing before Saturday's Yorkshire derby at Barnsley. "We're being asked all the time, but until there's something concrete we're not saying anything," Warnock told the club's official website. "That's the way it's got to be this month.
"There's names being thrown about left, right, and centre, and there's names in the newspapers I've never even thought of enquiring about and wouldn't do either."
"It's a difficult month for managers because you're fending off enquiries all the time, but we are working very, very hard behind the scenes," he added.
"We're trying to bring players in who are better than what we have. We are making enquiries and getting our agenda ready for the next few weeks.
"We've put forward some offers and it'd be nice to think we could get one in by the weekend."
