Lazio striker Djibril Cisse has revealed he turned down £7 million-a-year to move to China.
Cisse has claimed he turned down a "crazy" £18m offer in China because he still wants to play for France at Euro 2012.
The former Liverpool and Sunderland striker, now with Lazio, revealed: "This summer I had a crazy offer - something unbelievable in China. The champions (Guangzhou Evergrande) offered me close to 20m for a two-and-a-half year contract.
"But it is too soon. The sport rewards me more. And moreover, I have unfinished business. I will not go to such a faraway place because I would not get back into the French team. I have not given up. I know that I still have something to bring to the France team. I have improved. I feel stronger than before, mentally and physically. I am more complete.
"I may have lost some speed with my injuries, but I have gained tactical sense. I want to show it. I want people to see under the blue jersey. The day I stop football, we can say that I died for the France team. Not before! As long as I play, I believe."
