Lazio have rejected claims from Federbet they could be banned from the Champions League.
Francesco Baranca, the general secretary of Federbet, has stated Lazio could be penalised if a match-fixing investigation was re-opened with new evidence.
Lazio said in a statement: "The personal opinions of Mr Baranca are purely subjective, without any support in law and constitute a purely personal manifestation of views without elements that can contradict past investigations.
"Lazio concluded the season full of success and are preparing for another on the European stage.
"Comments like those from Mr Baranca are simply attempting to disturb the calm that the club, players and fans need.
"Some are amplifying these opinions as if they were signs of truth or a concrete danger, therefore defaming and trying actively to damage Lazio."
