Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri has slammed the football calendar.
Sarri insists the game's authorities are demanding too much from the players.
"Football must be saved by itself and by its own institutions," said the Tuscan. "We are going on a path in which it is impossible to show beauty.
"Having to play 60 / 70 games a year leads players to train less and produce a less spectacular game.
"We are at a time when sport has become business, where appearance matters more. It's ridiculous."
