Lazio boss Stefano Pioli admits they've been hurt by the absence of Stefan de Vrij.

Lazio lost 2-1 to Inter Milan yesterday.

They have just one win in their last five games and have sorely missed injured centre-back De Vrij.

"De Vrij is an important player, certainly, but we are working on situations and we weren't positioned properly on the first goal," said Pioli.

"It's a shame, as we had the right approach and can't help but think it would've been a different result if we'd kept 11 or even 10 men on the field."
