Lawyers for the State are requesting a two-year jail sentence for Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu.

Efe reports lawyers representing the State have requested a sentence of 2 years and 3 months prison for current FC Barcelona president, Josep María Bartomeu and a sentence of 6 years and 9 months for his predecessor, Sandro Rosell, for their alleged involvement in financial misdemeanors relating to the signing of Brazilian player, Neymar Jr.

According to agency, Efe, legal sources have requested the same sentence as was previously outlined by the district attorney for Bartomeu, but have reduced the proposed sentence for Rosell from 7 years and 3 months to 6 years and 9 months for his involvement in the Neymar affair.
