Sunderland midfielder Sebastian Larsson felt they deserved more from their draw at Liverpool.
They attacked at every conceivable opportunity and even had a strong penalty appeal rejected when Martin Skrtel upended Connor Wickham.
Larsson said: "I thought we were the better team away at Anfield and that doesn't happen very often.
"We were not overly happy. We were a bit disappointed we weren't been able to score and get the three points.
"If we had won the game I don't think people could have complained too much because we played so well.
"We bossed the game for most of the time and I can't remember any clear-cut chances they had. We had the better chances."
