Lanus president Nicolas Russo admits they're in talks with AS Roma defender Gabriel Heinze.

Former Manchester United and Real Madrid defender Heinze has expressed interest in moving to Lanus next month.

"Bringing Heinze to Lanus would be great, because he is a player who can give us a lot," said Russo. "We are very interested, but everything depends on whether the family of the player wants to move.

"I talked to him and he told me that later this week he will give me an answer."
